A good installation is as important as a good wallpaper. Here is what to expect.
Before the day
- The wall must be oil-primed, clean, dry and smooth.
- No seepage, damp patches or peeling paint (these are not covered by warranty).
- Clear furniture away from the wall and keep a power point free.
On the day
- Wall check: the fixer checks dryness and surface.
- Marking: a vertical guide line keeps panels straight.
- Application: panels go up one by one, matching the design.
- Smoothing: air bubbles are pressed out.
- Trimming: edges at ceiling, skirting, switches and corners are trimmed neatly.
- Final check: joins and edges are inspected with you.
How long it takes
A typical feature wall takes a few hours. Larger murals or multiple rooms take longer.
